Summary
This snapshot of data from the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing provides key figures about aged care in the 2024–25 financial year up to 30 June 2025 and is a companion to the upcoming 2024–25 Report on the Operation of the Aged Care Act 1997.
The third release (18/11/2025) adds residential care data, in addition to data provided in the second release.
Previous release has included:
- The first release (08/10/2025) provided information on population data, Home Support data and information on places, providers and services in selected programs (residential aged care, Home Care Packages, Restorative Care [Transition Care and Short-Term Restorative Care], and the flexible aged care programs).
- The second release (22/10/2025) provides information on Aged Care client summary data, Home Care, Transition Care and Short-Term Restorative Care data, in addition to the content provided in the first release.
Correction:
- 23/10/2025 – Expenditure data was added to the second release published on 22/10/2025. This addition does not impact the first release.
